The first in our Symbiosis series, a range of beers designed to test our knowledge of hops whether they be paired to compliment or contrast each other. Malus combines Amarillo and Centennial. The two hops, full of bright, juicy and refreshing fruity flavours, will work together to produce a truly refreshing brew. Expect lashings of mandarin, lime, guava and melon. This beer is juicy, low on bitterness, and incredibly drinkable.

Rebrewed for September 2018 - it's ruddy good!

On tap @ Patricks. Unclear golden body with a nice off-white head. Aroma is mild pale malt with light citrus and slightly spicy/peppery and hair shampoo. Flavor is silk smooth, pale malt, spicy yeast, citric fruit and balancing bitterness with a hint of lemon/lime acidity. Well balanced body and average aftertaste. A nice, tasty beer that starts a bit average but becomes rather pleasant after a few sips. Nice one actually if drinking and not sampling.

Murky gold with a frothy white head and a citrus fruit aroma. Medium bodied with a slightly grainy mouthfeel, the balance of bitterness on top of a sweetish citrus fruit backbone is fabulous, finishes slightly dry and bitter

440ml can purchased and drunk at the Two-Tailed Lion. Light gold, hazy with a thin head and some lacing. Intense aroma with white grape, candy sugar and some mothball notes. Sweet taste with some notes of gooseberry, French vanilla, boiled sweet. Nice long bitter finish. Decent amount of carbonation. A bit odd but certainly enjoyable.

Can at Brewdog, Plymouth. Pours hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma: light tropical fruits, grassy hops, dank citrus hops, soft malts, oats, citrus peel. On the taste it's light sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Medium bodied with frothy carbonation. The bitterness of centennial dominates the fruitier amarillo here.

Tap at Murphy’s Law. Hazy dark yellow with big fluffy white head. Some tropical fruits, grassy hops, dank citrus hops, soft malts and oats, citrus peel. Light sweet and medium bitter. Almost medium bodied. Actually tastes more like real hops than just fruit juice, quite solid for the lower abv. Nice.
