Who would want the strong, savory, salty notes of stringed pastrami and cured wursts in their clean, crisp lager?
Well, a few hundred did, and they weren’t all barbecue enthusiasts. But the numbers are increasing, and we’ll do our best to spread this smokey gospel.
We teamed up with the local brewers (and bearded bird enthusiasts) from Zaganu to make sure we seduce as many people as we can with our precious... smoked ham water.

Can at home. I can’t not compare my can to the other reviews here as the contrast is so stark. No trace of rubber or plastic or any other weird off character as a matter of fact, it’s crisp, clean, meaty-sausagey smokey in the best way possible, I quite like it actually

50cl can, BB 04/01/2025, lot# 05 SOSIG partagée ave Carles à Gualta.
Deuxième bière fumée de cette brasserie goutée après une version plus bock fumée.
Ici, une belle robe dorée, sur un col épais blanc.
Arôme est délicat avec un agréable bouquet de malt fumé rappelant, comme bien dit dans le nom de la bière, un effet bbq et ‘fête de la saucisse’ + bacon.
Palais est léger avec une belle base de mat pils et fumé. Le tout est finement houblonné noble avec une amertume délicate florale et terreuse mais laissant ample place à ce côté fumé qui reste délicat sans jamais être surfait. Sans être de la trempe d’une de Bamberg, cette version ne démérite pas.

--Canned. -- Clear golden, small head. Ashy smoke ham aroma. Mid sweet with light to medium body and clean, fizzy mouthfeel. Salmiak and rubber, some smoke ham. Sharp and fizzy. Quite possible the worst beer ever made with Bamberg smoked malt.

27/4/2024. Can shared at fonefan Ulfborg tasting. Pours clear pale gold with with a small frothy white head. Aroma is smoked sausage, burnt plastic, hot dog. Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery, average carbonation. Very bitter smoked finish. Not keen.

ABV: 4.7%. Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, meat, sausage, smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, sausage, smoked. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20240427]

Can @ fonefan tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are smoke, bacon, malt, hops and has a nice smoky finish.
