3rd October 2023
Almost clear gold beer, thin and gone-in-an-instant white head. Palate is light and pretty dry, decent fine carbonation. Tart lemon with a vague minty vibe. Light herbs, quite green. Light vanilla vibe. Finishes dry and getting slightly acidic. Fancied something like this after an oily meal but its combo of dryness and aggressive tartness reduce drinkability for me.

Really nice tangy tart citrusy front and finish + herby funk nose

16/III/21 - 37.5cl bottle from Être Gourmet (webshop, BE) @ ElManana’s Fourth Fire Basket Tasting, BB: 2/3/22 (2021-200) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the bottle!
Cloudy pale yellow beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very funky, quite some sulphur, very acidic impression, very cheesy, herbal, more funk. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty acidic, watery, little bitter, lemon juice, zesty, some grapefruit, nice. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, zesty, juicy, citrus, peaches and apricots, more sulphur, a bit of-putting that sulphur stuff...

37,5cl bottle (BBF: 02/03/2022) from Etre Gourmet web shop. F: thin, white, quick gone. C: pale yellow, hazy. A: lemon, bit herbal, sour fruity. T: light malty base, lemon water, bit mineral, herbal, puckering sour fruity, soft carbonation, very refreshing and great for the style I am sure that will be in top 50 for the style and for a long time.

Very small white head on initially very bubbled pale yellow beer. Sourish-spicy-fruity nose. Fruit might be quetche/sloeberry, spice might be mannah, chamomille, wormwood; limezeste. Lemony flavour with some rootspice added. No doubt the mugworth (not that far removed from wormwood), but not easily identifyable. Mannah.Very refreshing, yet not one to drink continuously, as the herb is very expressive. Puckering sourness. Feels better carbonated than it looks after a couple of minutes. Gruit - difficult 'style', yet once more, La Source manages to be completely convincing. Chapeau bas, Messieurs!
