Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Dark chestnut brown. Slim dense beige foam. Booze steeped vine fruit up front here. Toffee. Leafy hop. Prunes and dates. Lovely really. Taste has a restrained sweetness and some vinous character. Smooth and fairly chewy. Foamy carbonation. Oaky vinous finish. Tasty and easy drinking.

Pours mid brown, still semi-transparent, with a small slightly off-white head that quickly recedes to a thin layer, no lacing. Pleasantly soft malty aroma, with nice depth: a well integrated mix of caramel and chocolate as the base, plus some nuttiness, the slightest hint of fruitiness (dried/dark fruits) and a delicate oaky feel. There's also a light, pleasant warming feel. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, though with much less sweet prominence than the aroma suggested. Still slightly on the sweet side in the mouth, with a balanced finish and aftertaste; the woody/oaky notes show up a bit more in taste and bring a quite dry, borderline tannic finish/aftertaste. Medium body with light, very fine-bubbled carbonation; a quite smooth, slightly soft mouthfeel. Overall a finely made dunkler bock with a light, well integrated bourbon touch.

Bottle picked up from Hop Lords, Worcester and consumed at Scott and Mandy's, Dumbleton, Worcestershire Wednesday 18th May 2022. Nose mostly malts and a little bourbon. Soft moutheel, a little chewy toffee, a little bit boozy, the bourbon only really getting in the way here. Ok

Bottle. Unclear dark amber color with white head. Not sure this should be a Maibock on here. Aroma is bourbon, oxidized peach, caramel, a touch vegetal. Taste is peach, vitamin C lutschtablette, caramel, nice bourbon. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Session Barleywine basically, awesome!
