Our Helles style pale lager beer, originating from Munich in Southern Germany. Slightly sweeter a than a classic Pils, with a more rounded malt base. Hopped with the classic noble Saaz and the newer, Hallertauer Blanc. Clean, floral, lemon and spice, with a light bitterness.

440ml can from Sandy Balls Holiday Village farm shop. Out of date bargain from the holiday village farm shop. Tastes absolutely fine. Clear gold pour with good white head. Nice cereal sweetness coming to the fore. Nicely presented. Decent.

Cask at Pigs Ear '22, day one, 29/11/22. Golden pour with a white cap. Nose is vanilla, straw, pale malts, grains. Taste comprises pale malts, buttery notes, popcorn, toasted grains, faint citric notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... came over a touch buttery.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2022 - day 1. Pours clear yellow-gold with a small, creamy white topping. Lightly sweet with ample doughy malts, nips of honeysuckle, light bitter straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more doughy biscuits. Alright.

25-10-20 // can. Via RB-trade. Thanks BeardedAvenger. This is really good. Clean Helles with a smoothness. Light biscuit. Noble hoppyness with a minimal fruit haze. Mild bitterness. Well done.

Can from Elusive Tap. Sweet and sour yeasty aroma with a citrus streak. Light gold. Frothy fluffy white head. Initial light bitterness with a pronounced citrus sourness. Spice un the mix. Underlying biscuity malts and yeastiness. Light-medium bodied. Thin but slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Not bad but not a style that excites me.
