Sampled at Kerstbierfestival Essen 2014. Hazy even a bit murky orangy color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, bourbon, lightly vanilla, sweetish liquor influences, a touch of brandy. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad at all. Earlier Rating: 12/7/2014 Total Score: 3.2Bottle shared with Stefan and Lizzy and Louis @ Van Moll Brewpub. Hazy orange to reddish color, small white to off-white head. Smell brandy, nuts, vinous alcohol. Taste some malts, a lot of brandy, slightly sweetish, wine, wood. Decent body and carbonation. One of the decent ones.

Bottle courtesy of Kermis. Poured a murky medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet toffee caramel. The flavour is big sweet with a yeast, boozy alcohol veggie palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Not so great and that’s putting it mildly.

Bottle shared. Pours hazy light brown with a small off white head. Aroma of calvados BA vegetables, orange and peas wtf. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. The Brandy barrel saves the vegetal crap from being really bad.

20th March 2014
Very hazy amber beer with a tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy. Mild fine carbonation. Smooth malt, quite airy, touch of cream. Nice tangy but mellow brandy/cognac balances well with barrel vanilla sweetness. A nice touch of mild wood bitterness before a smooth finish. Very nice.
