Bottle shared in London - picked up at the bottle Shop, Druid Street. Pours oily black with a bubbly tan head. Huge peat aroma, some mild burnt rubber, burnt wood, earth, chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with hearty peat, oily chocolate, scorched earth, some dark fruits, raisins, a bit of chili spice. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with strong peat whisky, rich chocolate, red chilies, faint vanilla, baking cocoa. Robust and hugely dynamic. Great stuff overall.

CBC Yellow Session. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tiny tan head. Palate is smooth and dry. Dark chocolate malts. Lots of peaty whiskey overrides anything else. Some band aids to boot. Way to kill an interesting base beer. Meh!
