Fifth of five quick meads in succession at Shig's tasting. Clear, still, medium gold. Gentle vinegar chili pickle nose over some syrupy honey drizzle. Very mellow sweet chili & brown sugar over the sweet floral mead base. Too mild. Didn't hate this either, just anticipated something actually spicy.

Bottle: Poured a coppery caramel with no head. Aroma is chili, honey. Taste is light chili, spice, honey, sweetness.

750 ml bottle, from English Heritage, shared with Holmen1 and Holmen2. ABV is 11%. Red colour, no carbonation. Moderate aroma, notes of honey and chilli. Warming mouthfeel. Well balanced flavour of honey and chilli, a nice chilli burn in the aftertaste.

Romjulstreff på Bjørnøy med seremonimesteren og skibsrederen 28.12.20: vi er kommet frem til siste punkt på kveldens agenda, en 75 cl vinflaske med skrukork. Vakker rødfarge. Chilipreget bare forsterker den deilige honningsmaken. En begeistrende avslutning på en hyggelig kveld. Buteljen var fra English Heritage Web Shop.

Bottle shared with JMD and SM at Bjørnøy 28.12.20. Clear red. No head. Excellent aroma and head of aromatic honey, cherries, marzipan and chili! Good and well-balanced.
