’Valencia Grove Amber’ on my label: drank 5 Feb 2013 in my hotel room in San Francisco. The 12 ounce bottle was chilled with ice in the wash basin and poured twice into a plastic beaker. I found this OK: good amber hue to the body and an off-white head that didn’t want to hang around for very long. Flavour wise it had a pleasant orangey feel within what is a malty brew that has very little hop action in the nose or taste. I prefer maltier, semi-sweet brews and this fitted my profile fairly well. One of the best beers from Coors I’ve had either sdie of the Atlantic.

4% version. Pours a deep orange color with a medium white head. A pretty bad aroma of spice and oranges, just seems dirty. A decent flavor: light earthy orange, some seeds, light spices. Easy. Decent. It grew on me.

Pours fizzy, amber-orange with a short, off-white head. Scent is strongly orange.... Taste is orange malt, not as sweet as aroma..definitely has the "peel bitter"... Overall, rather refreshing....still a Blue Moon, but better than most of the family.

12 oz bottle from a sampler pack my nephew got at Costco. Nose is orange peel (citrus oily), some bready malts, and a little floral. Clear orange with a small off white head. Flavor is a hint of bitter, a little caramel malt, and ahint of the orange.

12 ounce bottle. Deep amber orange color topped by a small bubbly beige head. Intensely aromatic citrus malt nose with hints of floral hops. tangy sweet toasted malt flavor has obvious bitter orange characteristics. Some yeasty, bready notes as well. Finish is slightly bitter and dry.

12 oz bottle from the spring variety pack. Pours a clear copper with a medium collapsing off-white head. Aroma consists of wheat, citrus drink powder, oranges, caramel--all of it a little faint. Taste is caramelly sweet with the fruit taking a backseat; finishes a little dry and faintly bitter. Body is thin, mouthfeel is creamy and a little watery. Obviously nothing extraordinary, but there are no offnotes and it doesn’t taste too bad.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a bit hazy, dark orange appearance with a small cream colored head. Heavy metal, blood orange aroma. Bitter herbal, mild toasted caramel, blood orange flavors that are completely dominated by a massive amount of metallic notes. Certified drain pour. Earthquake High Gravity Lager 8.1% easily beats this out in a head to head matchup. Fuck you.

Bottle. Light amber color, foamy whitish head, orange aroma, slightly bitter orange taste, high carbonation, abrupt finish. The taste is quite strange, I am not sure I like it.

Bottle from a Grocery Outlet. Pours light copper/amber with a slight white head. Light orange aroma. Near med body. Flavor has caramel, hints of orange and something that is either nutty or chocolate. I choose nutty. Develops a bit more orange in the finish.
