One of our two twentieth anniversary brews, White Admiral is a one off, cold conditioned Wheat Ale brewed in 2013. We recommend drinking this beer at fridge temperature with a chill haze, as this allows the pineapple, banana, bubble gum and cream soda notes to penetrate the sweetness and light hoppiness.

Bottle @Craig's. 2014 version. Clear brown, small beige head. Malty, slightly vinous, floral aroma. Sweet malty flavour, again some very light vinous notes. Sweet dark fruity notes too.

275ml bottle. 2013 bottle. Pours hazed dark golden amber with an off white head. Aroma: sweet, bready & rich with banana esters & candied fruit. Taste: moderate sweet & light bitter, rich, marmalade, raisins, candy sugar, light spices. Medium bodied with soft carb. Those six years have turned it barleywine-esque to an extent

Hazy deep gold beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Thin dry wheaty malts, sweetish. Bit of a spicy mid. Spicy dried fruits, trace of citrus. Dry spicy finish. Fluffy, dry and not that engaging, bits of a disappointment.

Bottle on 27th June 2015 at the 2nd Annual Midlands tasting. Cheers Rich. Slight haze to the amber pour, small, thin white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee within malty nose. The taste followed along the same lines with a heavy sweetness: alcohol bite with a mini banana flavouring somewhere in the mouth. Should have had this before the Red Admiral, still very drinkable though.

Bottle share round at Richy’s. Hazy amber, with a swirl of off white head. Grainy. Toffee. Unripe banana. Taste is mostly sweet. Thick, chewy palate. Finishes grainy sweet. Nice enough, although a little one sided.

Bottle split at the Bespin Cloud City W2, thanks to Dan Yell, 05/05/15. Lightly hazed amber topped with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is caramel, floral notes, light spice, malty tones, honeydew melon, light balsa wood. Taste comprises caramel, spice, rich malt, fruit cake. Medium + body, fine carbonation, sweet licks in the close. Ok, a touch overly sweet though, not one I’d look to revisit.
