Dark Matter Stout is a dark top fermented beer made of five types of malt and roasted barley. It is nicely smooth in taste with aroma of coffee and chocolate. It has just a little bit of hoppy aroma, low zest and mild bitterness. Dark Matter Stout is very strong, dark in colour and has a beige thick foam.

Can shared at the craft beer junction bermondsey tasting. A opaque black brown coloured pour with a fading tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, dried malts, nutty, brown sugars, cakey. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty cake, dried fruits, honey. Meaty roast. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation. Good meaty.

Can from Raynville Superstore. It pours jet black with a thick, rugged tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, dark chocolate torte, coffee, mocha, touch of vanilla, mars bar and some caramel. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, quite smooth, dark roasted malt, plenty of chocolate, chocolate cake, toffee, caramel, some coffee, nutty, praline, mars bar and a tickle of alcohol with a smooth, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Not a huge depth, but has a great balance of flavour. Hides the alcohol well. Moreish.

Black beer, thick and foamy tan head. Great smell of sweet, toasty malt. Flavour leads with malt too. Sweet, toasty, a little earthy. There's milk chocolate here, some nuts, a little liquorice. Decent body, a bit if carbonation. A hint of warmth I. The finish, both from the strength and maybe just a little spice of some sort. Lovely stuff.

Can via Pivny raj. Med-thin body, moderate carbonation. Med-light sweetness, med-high bitterness. Hops in the background, fully malty character. Assertive coffeeish ashy deep roast, as befits a stout. Light toffeeish buttery caramel besides. Also light dried fruits and alcohol warmth as the beer warms up. All in good balance though, relatively easy drinking even. Quite good one.
