Sampled in between Ratebeer and Brewver, so not much specific notes. Decent weizenbock

0.44 l can from 'Bierhandwerk', best before August 2019. Hazy, brownish amber with a very thin, beige head. Sweetish, malty, gently yeasty-spicy and minimally fruity aroma of overripe banana, caramel, nuts, some clove and a touch of raisins. Quite sweet, malty, slightly bitter, gently yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity taste of caramel, overripe banana, clove, nuts and some raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Pleasant Weizenbock, glad to see this brewery not only making NEIPA's. Unfortunately not as complex as it could be.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10C/9A). Bottle 44 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 23/08/19). AROMA: medium alcohol aroma, slightly solventy. medium-low wheat notes, clove and medium-low to low bubble-gum and slightly banana. APPEARANCE: amber colour and slightly hazy. medium-low beige head with low retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-low clove, bubble-gum, slight wheaty. faint yeast note. medium-low bitterness with a semi-sweet finish. PALATE: medium to medium-high body with medium-low carbonation. slightly alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a weizenbock-like beer with a nice aroma but with the alcohol at the limit and an underwhelming taste complexity.

Lecker. 7/10/11/12/11/12

Can, courtesy of Sinh4. Pours unclear amber. Body is Bratapfel, banana, bock. Body is heavy, strong, and banana. Lovely carbonation. Good Doppelweizenbock. A bit obscene in banana.
