Bottle at Beer Hunters. Opaque black color, small off-white head. Alcoholic, a bit glueish even. Medium-bodied. Simple alcoholic front, then spice burn, toastyness, some fruity notes. Simple one in this series.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of burnt malt notes with some vanilla and black chocolate notes. Taste is a nice mxi between some deep roasted malt notes with some black chocolates notes, some vanilla and barrel-aging notes which kind of takes the rough edges of the base beer. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no deeply apparent alcohol notes. Very complex but retains some very good drinkability. Probably one of my favorite fifty-fifty stouts.

22oz bottle pours an oily black with some clumpy, off white head. Nose is very roasty, woody, a little brown sugar, cakey, coconut. Flavor is sweet, malty, licorice, brown sugar, cake, toast, mild spice, pepper, booze, nail polish. Slightly hot finish but mostly smooth.

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a dark brown with medium creamy tan head that lasts awhile leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong oak roast and chocolate. Medium mouthfeel with rich chocolate and light roast in the finish. Very impressive.
