Bottle at the brewery. Pours a dark ruby with small pinkish head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is cherry skin and floral. Light body, cherry juice, light wood, nice tartness, balanced acidity, enjoyed this.

0.375 l bottle from 'Het Huis van de Geuze', Oogst 2021, bottled in January 2022. Hazy, ruby, almost purple with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, pinkish white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, rather fruity, minimally funky aroma of cherry, elderberry and a touch of almond. Slightly sweet, gently sour, quite fruity and a bit funky taste of cherry, elderberry, blackcurrant, light almond and a touch of grains, followed by a short, gently tart, quite woody, moderately dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Interesting Kriek, quite fruity and well-balanced but not as deep as it could have been.

375 ml bottle Oogst 2020, from Etre Gourmet, bottled 17-01-2021. Dark ruby, almost a bit purple body, with almost no head. Aroma of cheesy funk, jammy cherry, dark grapes, some citrus, slight vinegar. Tastes very lovely, quite similar, with even more jammy cherry. Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes smooth, medium dry, a bit funky, tannic, almost a bit vinous, with lots of deep cherry notes, green apple, slight citrus. Very tasty! So characterful, with a great mix of funk and cherries. Especially the taste has lots of lovely, distinctive cherry notes and drinks as elegant as a red wine. Perfectly balanced, just enough acidity and sweetness, outstanding Kriek! Score: 8 / 4 / 9 / 4 / 17

0,375l bottle at home shared by Saeglopur, big thanks. Bottled 17.01.2021. deep reddish hazy color, small pink head. smells of cherries, oak, marzipan, bit lactic, funky. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of cherries, funk, oak, nutty, marzipan, peppery, tannins, some wine / grape notes, bit lactic. finshes dry and medium sour with notes of tannins, grape notes and some lactic notes. nice one, somehow this has lots of tannins and is rather prominent with grape notes (wine barrel?). cherries are there, but more in a subtle marzipanish way. good stuff overall, very interesting.

Small rosy rim over fully hazy deep red beer, with all deposit sticking to the bottle. Fresh sour cherries' nose, cherry juice. Very sour, sour cherries with just a point of sweeter undertones, farmyard flavours, but not much else. Very sharp, acidburn, acidthinning. Really natural kriek - BUT, it is more than a tad too sharp and hence unidimensional. There's better around, and more malse lambic might have helped.
