Dark golden/amber coloured, medium sized white head, nutty caramellish nose. Moderate malty, biscuity hoppy and light nutty with mild hoppy finish. A bit watery but in general ok bitter.

06/05 0.5 l bottle, courtesy of Marko, thanks for sharing! It poured amber body with small head. Very nice caramel and biscuit malt aroma. Fine flavor, a bit biscuity and fruity, with strange grass hop bitterness. Notes of wood are felt toward the finish. Medium body, slightly watery but still fuller than most of bitters. Cute little beer.

Cask handpump at The Wheatsheaf (I think) Edith Weston, Rutland 14.05.11 Golden in colour with a mid sized white head, in good nick. Decent hoppy tasty session beer. Can’t believe I hadn’t rated this before and I must admit it surprised me, not bad at all. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov12 3.2

Bottle brought from Leicester by a friend (huge thanks Vida!)Poured a dull dark amber body with a lasting big-medium white head. Dusty, slightly soapy nose with some light peach. Creamy light taste, brittle and nuts. Sweetish notes of müsli? Eh. Very very light bitterness. Ok enough.

Cask at the Basketmakers’ Arms, Brighton on 5th April 2010. Clear copper, very little head that disappears quickly. Light citric hop and sweet maltiness, just a touch of grass. Shortlived sweet finish on a watery mouthfeel. Not a favourite.

Cask@GBBF2008. Aroma is malts, some hops and hints of earth. Flavour is smooth caramel malts, earthyness as well as some hops. Wellbalanced. Rather dry wooden bitterness in the finish.

Cask at the Brunswick Arms, Derby. Gold with a thin white head; malt aroma; malty and slightly sour taste; dry hazelnut finish. Pleasant but not very exciting.
