In this experiment we pushed the boundaries of a well-balanced, high gravity, highly hopped IPA, while increasing drinkability.
This Double IPA is brewed and generously dry hopped with Mosiac hops. You'll find a super floral nose, smooth bitterness, with hints of blueberries, mango, and papaya.

Bottle shared in London - picked up via trade in LA. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Lots of ripe, juicy citrus in the nose, some tropical stuff, tangerine, mango, papaya. Medium sweet flavor with low piney bitterness, lots of gooey papaya and mango, melon, pale bread. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Resinous finish, lightly warming, with more juicy, lightly chewy tropical notes. Lovely stuff.

Bottle big thanks to Leighton. It pours clear light amber with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, juicy, tangerine, clementine, sherbet, lychee, papaya, pine, light tapioca and resin. The taste is smooth, bitter, piney action, orange sherbet, peach, papaya, resin, peppery spice and touch of alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Drinks mighty easy. Nice juan.

14th July 2014: Clay Oven, Irvine CA, Beer Night with Indian food. This beer was my first sample of what turned into a heavy drinking but most enjoyable evening. Clear almost orange body, bit darker than orange though, small white head. Floral hop nose with some semi-sweet maltiness in the background. The taste was hops first and foremost, but fairly gentle with tropical fruit sweetness within the flavour to balance out the usual bitterness from the aforementioned hops. I liked it, good depth of flavours with a body that suited the alcohol content nicely.
