Not that balanced... Dry, quite bitter and not that "juicy"

10 August 2021. Garden TTO @ Dok Brewing. Shared with the lovely Anke. Cloudy yellow, thin, off-white head. Aroma of ripe passion fruit, pineapple, peach, papaya, vague diesel ('grease' almost), dank onion, white pepper. Taste has sweet ripe peach, papaya & dank rambutan, vaguely sour passion fruit edge, oniony effect over doughy maltiness. Floral & peppery hoppy finish with spicy yeast, a hop burn, dank juicy fruit & some warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Lots of character here, nice one.

Ridiculously towering, dense yellowish head over fully muddy orange beer. Orange/citrus nose, dry hopbales. Dry-bitterish, spicy/herbal bitterness. Hints @ other grains, wholemeal cookies or -wafers, ink. Medium bodied, good carbonation, pretty slick. Somehow, I expected more from such strong language, DOK.

NEDIPA by Dok Brewing Company in Ghent, available from cans. Medium thick, egg-white, stable and moussy head, milky beige-tinged peach blonde robe. Luscious aroma of mango, guava, granadilla, stewed pear, ripe pineapple, Zespri kiwi, orange flesh, hints of gin, grass and minerals. Sweet onset, very juicy indeed, tropical with impressions of pineapple, green mango and granadilla with a mildly citric edge, softly carbonated; soft, full body, a doughy malt sweetish core soaked in exotic citrus and yellow-green tropical fruit from the hops, guava and mango, also offering a slight bitter accent, accentuated briefly by an afterglow of gin-like alcohol which remains altogether gentle. Very solid juicy IPA – juicy it is for sure, and this may even well be the closest Dok ever got to the real thing from New England. Recommended – if you can get if fresh enough, of course.

Pours very muddy, greenish yellowblonde. Medium white head. Scent is sharp, overly hoppy . Taste is full, bitter, hopburn, drying earthy tones by the hips. medium fullbodied. Far over the top, tastes like canned hopsediments.

22/VIII/21 - 33cl can from the brewery, shared @ summer holiday in France, BB: 19/VII/22 (2021-951)

Cloudy blond to beige beer, big aery creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very nice, juicy, fruity, little malty, cow fodder, tropical fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity start, juicy, very bitter, bit resinous, grapefruit, hoppy, citrus notes, good stuff! Aftertaste: very bitter, fruity, juicy, slightly sweet, some tropical fruits, very resinous hops, bitter ending. Nice, one of the best DOK beers so far for me!
