When we got asked to do the official GBG Beer Week 2018 beer all we could think about was sour strawberries, sour and strawberries, a sour beer with strawberries! So, that’s what we did. Gôtt ânna!
The label text says it all really. We got asked to do this beer. We felt very honored. We wanted to do a strawberry sour. Not just to make a strawberry sour but also to get more people into sour beer. Why? Because we love it! And, we think others, would they dare to try, would to. The reach of the official GBG Beer Week beer is fantastic. Stigbergets and Beerbliotek, the two breweries who’ve made Beer Week beers before, have started something special and we’re keen to get the people who loved their beers to also try ours, to try a sour for the first time. For the love of beer!

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 1 June 2018) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of strawberries, citrus and apricots. Fruity, slightly tart taste with strawberries, orange, apricots and a balanced tartness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

On tap at 4. Opatovina Beer Fest, shared with Marko. Unclear golden coloured, medium sizedwhite head, sourish and lactic nose with whiff of strawberries. Moderate sour with notes of fruits and touch of strawberries with dry sourish finish. Not bad but also nothing special here.

Tap at Opatovina Beer Fest. Hazy golden body, white head. Lovely fruity aroma, full, a bit candyish. A nice balance between candyish strawberry and lactic notes in the taste, excellent!

Tap@MBCC 2018 Yellow Session, Copenhagen - golden pinkish coloured pour with white head. Medium sour fruity with notes of strawberry, light berry fruity, some straw, hay, wheaty, light malt, yeast, tart berry fruity finish.

Keg at MBCC 2018 Yellow (session Juan), 11/05/18. Light golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is bitter citric peel, straw, grains, farmyard twang. Taste comprises strawberry pips, light funk, citric tinged straw, balsa wood, light sweat. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light acidic burst. Ok sour.

Keg at the bottle shop druid Street. A mostly clear peach orange coloured pour with a a halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet, sharp raspberry, floral, peach. Flavour is composed of tangy apple, raspberry, woody, yougyry funk. Palate is semi sweet, sour, moderate carbonation, dry. Nice.

Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours clear orange-pink with a small, creamy white topping. Jammy strawberry in the nose. Medium sweet flavour, some further strawberry, mild tang. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some further strawberry, orange, mellow seedy bitterness. Fun stuff.
