Bottle. Clear dark amber color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, oxidized. Taste is the same, with extra grainy and earthy flavours. Mineralic finish with natural carbonation and a rustic earthy aftertaste. What is stouty about this?

Bottle. Very dark chestnut, golden cream. Earthy and minerally roast, caramel, preserved pears. Medium body, sparkly, bready chewy, dry mineral and chalk on the palate, Hard roast, fruity notes, dry spice and minerals, a hint smoke, Intense grassy bitterhop background with staying power. Somewhere between a stout and a Franconian Dunkel.

Bottle from the Offie, Leicester. Dark brown, thin and translucent, with a cream-coloured head. Gentle chocolatey aroma with some ashy roast malt. Sweet malty taste with some gritty bitterness in the hoppy finish. The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste with cocoa bitters and toffee notes. Highly carbonated but it doesn't hide the thin body. It's not bad but it's fairly one-dimensional.
