Deep dark brown coloured body with a relatively thick, three to four centimetre tall off-white and nice light brown head that stays afloat nicely and definitely looks like it's nitrogenated with a smooth velvety texture. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, nuts, earth, coffee and a good deal of peated grain with a light hit of rustic mushrooms and a little dose of residual sugars in the form of lactose. Medium-bodied; Velvety texture with the roasted malts and nuttiness at first that then breaks down to a hazlenut and cocoa flavour and finishes with some of the coffee and grainy flavours with a cake-like bite and richness that starts out relatively easy-going and finishes very rich and pungent, in a good way. Aftertaste is potent and robust with a kick of grain and cocoa, but the coffee really does come out near the end with a big bite of chocolates and nuts that make this finish robust, but strong in a good way that still goes down fairly easy. Overall, a very nice beer that is flavoured very nicely, is complex and robust throughout and the texture from the nitrogen really works here given how rich it is, but how smooth it feels in the mouth and it doesn't seem like the aroma or initial scents were impacted in a bad way. I sampled this 13,65 ounce (looks like a pint can), purchased from Wegman's in McLean, Virginia (Tyson's Corner) on 17-April-2021 for US$1,99 sampled as the final beer (#24) of my Advent Calendar (perhaps saved the best for last) for 2021, sampled at home with my wife while wrapping up the presents and putting them under the tree on Christmas morning here in Washington for my three kids.

The aromas are toasty dark malt with coffee, very clean. Flavors are like nose, traditional style so it's not overly sweet and very drinkable. Mild lingering bitterness with great body. Very nice beer.

Big can from HoTM. It pours black with a thick, fluffy light tan head. The aroma is lovely smooth coffee vibes, bitter - sweet, coffee & cream, chocolate cake, mocha, nutty, praline and forerro rocher. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy roast, coffee grounds, bitter - sweet, cacao nibs, slight ash, charred, toasted pine, umami, peppery spice, minimal alcohol, smooth, creamy but not too sweet, praline, toffee and some warmth through a bitter - sweet finish. Medium+ body, moderate carbonation and smooth, massaging carbonation. Effortlessly drinkable. Really like the balance.
