Bronze with a thinning, frothy head. Aroma of honey, herbs and cardboard. Taste is sweet up front, finishing with a strong bitterness, both peppery and metallic. Warming too at the end with a bit of booziness. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. It’s rough but the bittersweet flavor keeps it mildly likable.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours an almost clear copper/amber colour with a medium sized thick throthy off-white head. Aromas of dark fruits, brown bread, fruit cake, caramel and syrup. Taste is fruity with honey, toasty brown bread, caramel, a little more syrup and also light leathery notes. Not overly sweet and nice enough balance. Medium to full body, low carbonation and smooth oily mouthfeel. Nice above average Doppelbock.

Bottle from Erzengel - Cheers!🍺 Tight foamy off white head stayed on an amber coloured slowly carbonating body. Sweet, malt & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, soft & smooth over the tongue with a tickle in the throat. Caramel, sweet, malt, peppery spices, faint grape, tea, red berry tastes. Enjoying this one.

*50cl. Smooth mild and slightly alcoholic beginning. Grain, caramel, deep and sweetish grain. Very nice round and mild, roasted parts, nice smooth body, sweetish grain with alcoholic parts of honey and viscous brown sugars. Nice.

“Bruckmüller Superator“, Flasche (50 cl) von Mein-Biershop.de. - Dunkelgold, klar. - Breit karamelmalzig mit beträchtlicher kräuteriger Hopfenherbe. Sahnig, mild kandissüß, Anklänge an Waldhonig und Kräuterlikör. Mild rezent, vollmundig, brennend alkoholisch. Im Nachtrunk fast schroffe Bittere. - Malzintensiver, scharf kräuteraromatischer Doppelbock, der etwas runder sein könnte.

Golden?! Aroma is cream, raisins, some noble hops, starch, slight tropic fruit. Taste is sweet cream and fruit, some wheat sweetness. Medium drinkable. A bit sweet. Not too bad.
