It was 25 years ago that we planted our flag in North County San Diego. We showed up to a modest, empty warehouse with some mighty big dreams. We thought people deserved a world with better beer, and were determined to be part of a cultural transformation we believed could happen… even though few others shared our vision. This massive triple IPA is another important milestone on our continuing journey. Speaking of journeys, for reasons you may guess, our 25th Anniversary Celebration in 2021 will be a bit understated for such a monumental anniversary, so we’ve decided to hold our big event in 2022 with the Stone 25+1 Years In The Making Anniversary Celebration. After a quarter of a century and quite a few twists and turns, we’re still here. Here for hops. Here for quality. Here for making great mistakes. Here for more good times. Here for another round. We thank you sincerely for the years of support and pledge that we will, as always, strive to live up to the reasons for your loyalty!
25 years calls for a momentous beer – this Triple IPA will not disappoint! Clocking in at 12.5%, this massively hopped IPA is a true celebration in a bottle of 25 years of exploration, innovation, and of course, great beers. Conceived originally by Kris Ketcham, Sr. Manager, Brewing & Innovation for the 7th Anniversary of Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station, this beer demanded to be amped up even more and released nationally to celebrate the Big One. Here’s to 25 more!

Can. Hazy deep orange beer with a decent cream colour head. Nose is old skool dipa, resinous ripe citric peel and malt. Palate is comparatively light and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. The malt base is rich but not over sweet, trace of caramel - barely there. I suspect its mostly C hops in here. Ripe citrus and marmalade follows the nose and gets slightly sweeter and fresher towards the finish. Smooth but fairly strong pine runs throughout. Smooth finish. Yeah definitely old skool but it's going down alright for me, even though it's quite West Coasty.

Can, thanks Fin! Boozy classic hop nose. Cloudy dark copper, offwhite cream. Medium full resinous dry mouthfeel. Citrus, pine, lychee, good citrus peel and grass bitter finish. Classic US hoppy barley wine. Well executed and quite drinkable.

Can. Hazy orange color with eggshell head. Aroma is resinous, caramel, intense, boozy. Taste is caramel, bitter resin, forest floor, boozy warming and bittersweet finish. Sirupy mouthfeel with medium carbonation. A heavy hitter.

Intensiver, alkoholisch hopfiger Beginn. Bitter, hell würzig, kernig, alkoholisch bleibend. Erstaunlich süffig, dabei alkoholisch bleibend, trockener Hintergrund. Langer hopfiger Abgang, dunkel, nett. 10/11/11/10/7/11

Several cans over the last month. Rating this is so difficult. By what it is it is a 5.0. perfectly heavy westcoast quadruple ipa with every sip. Edgy, brutal, Stone at its best. A whole can or a second can is difficult bit what it is just perfect.

Pours a deep, darker amberblonde. Medium large to large, stable, creamy white head. Scent is a burst of pine, with a giant malty base underneath. Taste is super smooth, but agressivly bitter ( not over the top, but certainly remarkeable on todays market). Enormous malty base, creating both body and balance. Everything you might (need to) expect of a WC TIPA. Medium carbo. Alcohol is very, very well hidden. This drinks like a robust 8 %er.

12 ounce can. Deep amber orange pour. Smallish bubbly white head. Boozy toasted malt aroma. Notes of pine and caramel. Bittersweet citrus and honey. Candied citrus peel, grapefruit and lime pith. Ridiculously intense flavors. Borderline strong ale or barleywine characteristics. Flavors mellow as brew warms. Still, very complex and layered. Another stellar Stone effort. Wish I had purchased a few more of these to age in my cellar.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours skightly hazy orangeish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit, malt and yeast, with hoppy touches. Booze in the long nose. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweet notes of fruit and malt, and touches of caramel and yeast. Lingering, bitter and malty aftertaste with estery and fruity hints. Warming alcohol presence. Decent work.
