Bottle 500ml @ My parent’s place
Pours hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and hint of spices. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long slightly warm, caramel, spicy and fruity finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle at Cardinal. Very sweet and malty, but also quite fuity. A lot of taste. Reminds rather of a barley wine - nice!

Bottle@Voldby, Ølmesse - hazy amber/brown pour with a good off white head. Sweet malts, caramel, light toffee, with slighty spicy dried fruit notes throughout, nice mouthfeel. Decent enough.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%, IBU 30. OG 1084, FG 1020. Hazy brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of malts, fruitcake, brown kandij sugar, some caramel and dark dried fruits, "dusty hops". Fairly sweet flavour, malts, dark dried fruits and fruitcake again, more British than Belgian, despite the trappist yeast and brown kandij sugar. Some caramel and chocolate, oxidised character, very moderate hops in the finish.

Bottled@CPH BF 2013. Hazy deep amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma is ripe fruits, dry fruits, some caramel, a bit syrup as well as some yeastiness. Flavour is similar, but also has some hints of berries and mild resiny notes. Has a slight alcohol burn to it.

Bottle. Mild creamy aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Stable off-white head. The flavour is sweet and sugary. Good sweetness, but a little much. Creamy.

Aroma of plum, prunes, roasted malt and some vanilla/oak. Equivalent taste. Reminds more of a british strong ale (like a Fuller’s Vintage) than of anything Belgian. A good beer, but misses its intended style.
