330ml bottle from Les Bieres de Celestin bottle shop, Lille. Pours black thin tan head. Soft coffee nose, dark malt. Taste is fairly light, in a smooth pleasing way. Thin chocolate and coffee roast, distant vanilla sweetness. Could do with more oomph, more body, but i found it pleasant enough.

Bottle split at Bodney, thanks to Danny, 12/04/18. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is chocolate, light spice, trace of coffee, roast malts, dried fruits. Taste comprises toffee, cocoa powder, dark malts, spice, red berry notes, light vanilla, oak. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kick of alcohol. Sub par for the style ... sippable but a touch harsh and boozy in places.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Danny. Pours black-brown with a dense, creamy beige head, restrained aroma, some dark berries, faint cocoa. Meidum sweet flavour with some grape, bitter chocl.ate, soft roast. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some soft chocolate, dried berries, raisins, cocoa. Quite enjoyable gear. Very drinkable.

Bottle shared at Leightons place 12/04/2018. Many thanks. A reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a beige head. Aroma is nutty brown malts, hazelnut, tangy cake. Flavour is composed of tangy cake, nutty malts, toffee, apple. Palate is tangy, airy carbonation. Ok.

Bodney Bier Huis bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Hazy deep amber-brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, smooth and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin bitterish dark malts. Tangy chocolate. Thin tangy blood. Light dry spicy finish. A bit too odd.
