Im Antrunk vollmundig, mit ausgeprägter Hopfennote des Spalter Aromahopfens und leicht karamelligem Körper lässt sich beinahe erahnen was dahinter steckt. Die kräftige Hopfenbittere paart sich bestens mit der leichten Malzsüße zu einem harmonischen Erlebnis, welches lange in Erinnerung bleibt.

Almost clear golden with a small foamy head. Very grassy, hoppy, zesty, grainy, fruity, slightly metallic, banana, candy sugar, honey, candied fruit. Fruity sweetness, hoppy zesty bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy zesty fruity bittersweet finish. A very nice hoppy crisp Heller Bock, well balanced and dangerously easy to drink!

Bottle part of picked up from Landbierparadis, webshop, Nürnberg and comsumed at home Thursday 12th Januar 2023 listening to YardAct - Overlord, and we're cooking Spätzle for tea tonight. Pours clear warm gold with a white head, good carbonation, looks great. Surprisingly bitter but allied to a hefty malty body this is actually hidden, but there is a really good bitterness that lasts forever and a day. Sleek mouthfeel nice honey flavour but again this is heavily balanced by the bitterness. Really like this.

Bottled at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm. Clear deep golden, rich head. Distinct grassy nose with some husky bread. Mid sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Bready and grassy, honey and white pepper. Warming finish. Rich and harmonious.

Tap, Cafe Abseits Bamberg. Malty flavor, hoppy, slightly alcoholic. Flowery hops in the aftertaste.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Lemon, grass and grain in the aroma. Malty and slightly grassy taste with notes of lime leaves, lemon and straw detected. A slightly spicy hint can be detected in the finish. Very easy to drink and fairly enjoyable.

“Huppendorfer Heller Kathrein-Bock“, Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Helleres Goldbraun, schwach trüb, schöne Schaumringe. - In der Nase bocktypisch breitere aber doch milde, leicht kandissüße helle Malzigkeit und leichte, weiche Zitrusfrucht (Mandarine). - Antrunk füllig hellmalzig mit zarter Kandissüße, etwas Brot und feiner, frisch zitrusfruchtig-grasiger Hopfenherbe mit allerfeinsten Orangenaromen. Mild rezent, schön vollmundig; die 7,5 % Ethanol sind perfekt integriert. Mild aber aromatisch zitrusfruchtig-herber Abgang. - Sehr gediegen gehopfter Bock, äußerst harmonisch und gefährlich süffig. Große Klasse! (9.1.2018.) Bei Wiederholung (26.2.2022) etwas scharf und pilsähnlich trocken gehopft, auf seine Art überzeugend aber nicht ganz bocktypisch.

Schönes Gold im Glas. In der Nase malzig, leicht süßlich. Im Trunk Honig, Karamellkeks, im Abgang leich alkoholisch, etwas Malz, holzig. Sehr rund, cremig, gutes Böckchen!

Bottle. Dry grassy, hayish, light candy, broad hops Golden, low sparkles, off white head. Sweet dark sugar, hay, grain, grass, foamy full mouthfeel, sweet finish.

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is klostein, fresh, slightly boozy. Taste is again klostein, slightly boozy, quite fresh, full-bodied, bitter finish. Fun!
