The term Stout was used as a synonym for a strong beer, so that’s how we made our Stout. Higher plato, black color, intense chocolate – coffee aroma with full, very intense bitter taste.

# 290 et # 984; 4/2016 et 3/2018. Vynikající pivo. Plný, suchý. Ve vůni zejména kakao, v chuti hořká čokoláda s vanilkou, lískové oříšky. Moc povedený stout.

getrunken Ende Mai 2018

750 ml botte. Pours black with a gigantic brown head, dissipates slowly with good lacing. Aroma is roasty, dusty, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, heavy roast, molasses, cocoa, coffee grounds, tobacco. Medium body, ridiculously high carbonation levels. This is a solid beer, but wtf with the carbonation?

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Scopey. Pours deep brown with a billowing, foamy tan head. Modest cocoa in the nose, dry roast, milk chocolate. Light to medium sweet flavour her chocolate, some dark berries, burnt toast. Medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Lightly drying in the finish, with touches of ash, more baking cocoa, raisins. Good stuff.

Bottle at L42 - massive thanks to BenH. It pours jet black with a massive foamy tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, cacao, cracked black pepper, ashy, charred wood, liquorice and rocky road. The taste is dry, bitter, charred wood, rich roasted malt, dirty, earthy, dark fruits, tar, drying, grainy and some harsh char with a drying finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. A bit charred and burnt. High foamy carbonation ruins it a bit. Doesn’t meet the high expectations, but its alright.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Ben H via Scopey, 05/02/18. Light black with a big old tan cap that retains well ... a lively pour. Nose is mellow roast, light metallic nip, dark fruit rinds, light cocoa, brown bread. Taste comprises tangy fruit rinds, bitter roast, ashen, spice, cocoa powder, toffee. Medium bodied, prickly/spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Passable stout ... way overcarbed and gassy ... kills the enjoyment for me. Genuine bad bottle or homered to fuck ? Carbonation aside the flavour profile didn't excite me much.

Bottle from Pezinská pivná pumpa. This is actually closer to sweet stout than traditional. Hazelnuts, chocolate little bit of coffee. More sweet than any other taste. Still I enjoyed.
