Medium creamy beige head. Clear almost black pour. Lots of chocolate

440ml can from Beer No Evil, Worthing; poured into my thistle shaped Gordon's glass at home on 22nd July 2025. Black bodied, tanned head that was short lived. Malty, chocolatey and coffee flavoured.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 9 May 2024) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, milky coffee and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark bread, liquorice and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Smooth, tasty and well made stout. Very nice.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 9th May 2024. Thick sepia with deep tan foam affording almost no lacing. Rich and intense coffee in aroma. Rich roastiness in-mouth, with bitter chocolate and coffee, and a lengthy coffee roast malt finish. Medium bodied with an engaging texture.

--Cask at River Ale House, Greenwich, London. -- Black. Rich licorice and coffee aroma. Dry with light body and firm mouthfeel. Coffee, licorice and dark chocolate. Mid bitter finish.

Rated at CASK Pub and Kitchen. Soft, smooth and slightly roasty with some hints of coffee, chocolate, ash and floral notes. Crushable and balanced.

1/6/2023. Cask at the 36th Colchester Real Ale & Cider Festival. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, dark chocolate, liquorice, meaty edge. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice roasty finish. Good.
