Bottle: Poured a murky brown color ale with no head and no carbonation. Aroma of caramelized sugar with some residual sugar notes and some oxidation with some nice vinous notes. Taste is a complex mix of oxidized notes of caramelized malt with some residual sugar notes with nice oak and vinous notes which provides great balance. Body is full with no carbonation. One of the best form this series of barrel-aged barleywine.

Hazy orange colour, practically no head at all; aroma of sultana soaked in dessert white wine aged for at least a decade; taste is the same and liquid toffee; if I didn’t know that it is a beer and not a tokaji dessert wine I would be in a real trouble to find out it

Sample, BOTTLE 50CL. Vintage 2014. Hazy amber, no head. Sweet dried fruit like white cherries, strong oxidation notes, cheesy barrel, almost no alcohol. The taste is really dry, with only hints of residual malts, green fruit nuttiness, a hint of toasted something, mild phenolic. Rich but easy drinking body, grape wine like. Very nice, not sure it is supposed to be sourish.

Bottle: Poured a flat clear amber color ale with no head and no lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with sugary notes and some vinous notes. Taste is a complex mix of oak and caramelized malt, vinous notes with light dry toffee notes. Body is about average with light oily texture with some warming alcohol notes. Quite a unique and interesting beer with great level of complexity.
