660ml bottle from a Premier store. Clear gold pour, nice small creamy looking top which lasts with lacing. Aroma of grains, stewed veg, Belgium yeast, flora. Taste is pale malts, corn, yeast, dry bitter finish. Interesting ale/lager hybrid beer. Best I've had from Carlsberg/Tetley which isn't saying much, but still I quite like it.

Bottle from Tesco Supermarket, Salford. Golden with a head. Although there's nothing particularly innovative about the brew, it's a decent tasting lager, nothing too malty with a hint of sweetness.

16/6/2023. Bottle shared on the train on the way to Braintree beer festival. Bought at a random shop in Colchester. Poured clear golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma is malty, grainy, caramel, citrus, chalk. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Average carbonation. Not bad as a morning starter.

Can from Asda, drunk on New Year's Eve in memory of Dave who always liked his low-strength UK industrial lagers. Dave - we miss you. This one's clear gold with a lasting white head and a moderate fizz. It tastes - unexpectedly - like a thinned down Belgian ale. Belgian yeast runs throughout; there's some white bread from the malt and a spicy coriander seed and white pepper kick. The lager makes itself known with some light grassy hops in the crisp finish. This was much better than I expected; maybe not something Dave would have liked (sorry Dave!) but I actually rather enjoyed it. A decent way to toast the memory of a great bloke. Cheers Dave!

Big bottle from Tesco. Bright gold in colour, with a thin white head. Crisp lager malt aroma, with a hint of fruity sharpness. Flavour had a touch of lemon fruit, solid lager malts with a hint of sweetness, and a slightly peppery edge, before a moderately bitter finish. A surpridingly good macro lager, that went down well on Sunday

660ml bottle shared with Andy, my brother-in-law on 31st May 2021. Sat on the patio in the afternoon sunshine. Light golden body, clean and clear, on top a white crown. Decent enough blend of grassy hops and malts; nothing to get excited about, but not unpleasant or totally bad. Had a lot worse!
