Sample thanks to Grumbo. Misty black pour, good tan froth. Nice old school stout, soft roast with subtle dark fruits emerging on the finish, fairly light bodied. Decent.

500ml bottle from a delicatessen in Bakewell. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, roasted malt, light chocolate, coffee, lactose palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Tasty.

16/4/2022. Bottle shared with the ITFC boys at the Rotherham beer share. From Beer Central, Sheffield. Pours dark ruby brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, dried fruit, toffee, blackberry, touch of ash and coffee. Medium sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

500ml bottle: BB 30th Nov 2020. Drank at home on 8th Sep 2020. Bottled conditioned, but no sediment left the bottle, although it was so dark I suppose a little my have got into my glass, the head a tanned affair. Pleasant hedgerow fruit aroma and taste with some coffee esters and flavours also to remind you it's a Stout.
