330ml bottle from an Edinburgh Aldi. Poured into a Gordon's thistle shaped glass at home on 26th Jan 2018. The beers colour is like crushed blackberry juice blended and watered down to a dirty, pale red, no head what so ever. Not enjoying the look to be honest, I haven't sniffed or tasted it yet! The aroma is light blackberry, the taste is like the look, a fruit juice. Oh dear, is the beer out of date? No 4 months left. This has been a big disappointment from start to finish, there is a slight saison 'farmhouse' feel to the brew, but it just doesn't do it for me at all.

Bottle from Aldi. It pours murky reddiah - brown with a tiny white head. The aroma is earthy, woody, black tea, jammy, bramble, warming spice, clove and cake. The taste is bitter - sweet, bramble, touch of tartness, dried fruits, fruit cake, spice, clove, black tea and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit muddled overall and she ain’t a looker. Fair.

Bottle at Leighton’s, thanks to the host. The aroma is clear amber with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, bready, berry skin, candy, creaminess, parma violets, candy and a touch of sherry. The taste is crisp, bitter, sour berry skin, bramble, berry yoghurt, bread, candy and light alcohol. Medium body and foamy carbonation. Works pretty well. Decent.

Bottle shared in W2 - picked up at Royal Mile Whiskies. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with a dense, creamy topping.strong yeast and phenolic nose, wheat, dough, light banana. Medium sweet flavor with notes of alcohol, earth, damp wheat, hay. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with some bitter hay, grains, earth, wheat, faint caramel.
