Bottle picked up at Edeka, Stein Park Freising. Consumed at home Attenkirchen, Thursday 20th June 2019 listening to Aldous Harding - Designer , tonight we're having 2-3 different homemade curries. Pours hazy mid brown, good clarity, fruity, tangy, more citrussy with a little underbelly of caramel. Good but not really my favourite style unless it has raspberries steeped in it.

0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller' (Breckerfeld), best before April 2020. Clear, deep reddish brown with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-resiny and a bit malty aroma of caramel, pine and tropical fruits. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, fruity-resiny and slightly malty taste of caramel, pine, tropical fruits, some nuts and a touch of chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently resiny and a little grassy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nicely hopped Brown Ale. Not really my favourite style but well done!

Highly hopped brown ale, but pleasantly hopped. Not overbitter, but very ipa-like still, masking the roast largely. D&S Dresden

355 mL bottle poured at 5th Lounge, Frankfurt. A dark, copper reddish pour with plenty of cream foam head. Mildly sweet bready malts, some metallic notes. Bolder malt aroma with hints of spice. A pretty easy drinking brown here, though I'd call it an amber. Styles.. Whatever. Arbitrary labels for good beer. This is my first craft beer enjoyed in Germany. It will be remembered. Good stuff.
