On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours black, with a small creamy head. Aroma is hoppy notes of stone fruits and berries, as well as some roasted malts with biscuits, toffee and honey. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is hoppy orange peel, grapefruit and stone fruits, as well as roasted malts with bread, brown sugar, leather and coffee. Rather unbalanced with a sweetly finish.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 19 Feb 2016) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with strong black coffee, liquorice, cacao and resiny hops. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, pine needles, liquorice and a generous piney bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made black IPA. Very nice.

Black color with tan ring, nice lacing. Aroma is cocoa powder, a bit resinous, definitely. Taste is cocoa powder, lots of piney hops, full-bodied, medium sticky finish. Nice stuff!

Keg at the Beavertown 4th birthday celebration. Pours deep black-brown with a frothy, beige head. Rich, well roasted malts in the nose, dry cocoa, subtle pine. Medium sweet flavor with notes of orange rind, dry roast and baking cocoa. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with some gooey resin, more chocolate, baking cocoa, hearty roast, earth, pine, rindy citrus. Good one.
