Bottle from Beers of Europe. Brown pour with an off-white head. Smoke and nuts dominate the nose. Flavours of nuts, herbs, smoke, wood. Very distinctive taste. Nutty, malty mouthfeel. Sweet, nut laden finish. Very interesting.

Bottle. Cloudy chestnut. Head is big but loose. The aroma is wheaty and a bit sour. Sweetish brown sugary notes with light tartness and some fruits. Bubblegum in the finish.

50cl on tap, Fassla brewery Bamberg. After enjoying a lot of good brews in the old Bbamberg district, I was rather disapointed in what we got at Fassla. Pours light brown with white head. Aroma of pils with light caramel malts. Taste is caramel malts, with a metalic pils mouthfeel. Slightly bitter hops. Beer is boring and weak.

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Very dark brown, lively head. Fruity and caramelly. Lively and spritzy. When first poured it’s seemingly low on banana esters, but ait warms they come out and take over the show. Yet it remains careful and balanced. A dunkel weizen with character.
