Export Dunkel

Klosterbrauerei Andechs in Andechs, Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪

Lager - Dunkel / Tmavý Regular
Score
6.82
ABV: 4.9% IBU: - Ticks: 128
Characterised by its firm and fine pored head. Even before the first sip, the beer epicure will register the soft aromas of dark malt carrying caramel and cocoa accents with a nuance of smokiness.

Andechser Export Dunkel is pleasantly tangy with a full, round, malty body. The nuance of quality plain chocolate marries well with the soft bitterness of the smoky undertone.

It concludes on a mild, harmonious note (12.5% original extract and 4.9% alcohol by volume).

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with dark bread, wort and hints of spices. Malty, toasty taste with notes of dark bread, wort, a touch of orange and a balanced, spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, clean malt profile with some sweetness. Well balanced and tasty dunkel, not straying too far from the safe.

Deep ruby color, good creamy beige head. Light nose is a bit toasted malty with grassy hoppyness. Flavor is mostly caramel, some toasted cocoa-like flavors and light grassy hoppyness. Quite thin palate. Just an average dunkel.

Golden-brown colour. Very toasty aroma with light chocolate accents. Earthy, toasty character with some bitter chocolate and a late nuttiness. Decent example of the style - simple and clean.
