We honor our Pops with this beer. His vision built the Leisure Time ice brand decades ago and inspired us to build Jack’s Abby as a family business. Leisure Time Lager is brewed with wheat and a blend of spices including lemongrass, coriander, orange peel and chamomile. A subtle spiciness balances the citrusy and floral hops added to the whirl and hopback. Relax and enjoy! Leisure Time Lager uses locally grown wheat from MA.

12 fl. oz. bottle bought at Grebhan´s, Bremen. Pale yellow and unclear in the glass, thin short living head. Wheat and orange on the nose. Taste starts with more orange, light malty, hints of coriander. Fresh with fruity summer herb. Little bit watery in the second row. Easy to drink.

Bottle. An almost clear one, pale golden in color and with a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma is grassy and hayish, with some citrus and pale malts. Not much spices. It’s medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a bit hard carbonation. Not much spices in the flavor either, mostly pale malts and citrusy, grassy hops. Some bitterness all the way. A rather boring one, giving me nothing. 141025

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Lager malt aroma with some fresh noble hops too. Cereal aroma. It then has some esters and then some spice. It’s a landbier weizen spiced beer. Which is a shame because split up they would be good but as an amalgam I am not so sure. Not overly spiced but if they had left that element out it would have been quite a good lager. With it I find it’s trying to be 3 styles in one and it just doesn’t make it harmonious for me. Good aroma good base lager elements not sure the spice is needed. Some hop bitterness on the finish.

355ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with small to average, macropore, collapsing, white head. Unspecific spicy, slightly citrusy fruity aroma, some pale malt and bitter hop, very cautious hints of chamomile and orange zest. Taste is slightly herbal spicy, citrusy fruity, chamomile, orange zest, pale malty basis with weak wheaty overtones, some bitter hop. Belgian Wit with some gravity from a Lager body - nice, yet somehow superfluous crossover, still a proper thirst quencher and recommendable summer beer.

Bottle, 4.8%. Cloudy yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is bready and vinous with a hint of spices, marzipan and hay. Could have done with more hops and bitterness.
