500ml bottle. Clear chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Malty and floral-herbal aroma, notes of toffee and mint, lavender, Averna or the like. Taste is dry, perfumed floral-herbal, slightly sweet malty background, hints of toffee, lavender, heather, mint. Perfumed, overflavoured.

Clear dark brown colour, some yeast sediment, tiny layer of foam, almost no carbonation. Aroma: Sweet with lots of brown sugar, caramel/toffee, candi sugar. Definite whisky aromas, nicely malty, a little burnt and even a bit sour. Some herbal notes. Flavour: Seems heavy at first but is actually very mild for a scotch ale. Complex, with a candi sugar sweet mouthfeel, quite bitter, herbal and even some floral notes. Some sour aftertaste. Very malty but beautifully balanced beer. Superb!

500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Vika more than a year ago. Shared with Finn. Opens with smoke and pours a creamy, fawn-coloured head. Crocheted lacing. Rosewood coloured body with a ruby tint. Roasted malty nose, hints of oak and dark chocolate. Honeyed dark malty flavours, black chocolate, figs and coffee. Piney hints to a relatively rich, mid-sweet ending. Full bodied. Enjoying (New Year tasting session at Finns. Tromsø 05.01.2016).

Flaske 500ml. spandert av Rune og delt på Nerstranda 5 Jan 16. Mørkebrun. Pent mokkafarget skum med litt lacing. Forsiktig whiskyaroma. Hint av krydder. Smaken det samme. Blir litt søt etter hvert. Godt integrerte smaker. Koseøl.

Cask at WHOAF 2015. It pours darkest brown with a purple hue and thick light tan head. The nose is sweet, oily, cola cubes, candy, Blackpool rock, dark fruits, fruit cake, ashy, jam, plum compote, empire biscuit and some warming whisky vibe. The taste is slick, oily, warming alcohol, bitter-sweet, fruit cake, jammy berry, cherry cola, lowland whisky, chewy malt, Dandelion & Burdock and some warmth on the finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Rich and good depth. Not hugely drinkable, but it has a particularly good aroma.
