Layering the herbal dry-hopped characteristics over the rich malt base, and padding it out with body and flavour enhancing yeast really transformed the already sessionable Merlin’s Magic into something even more enjoyable. Everyone really loves the result. Consequently we make it available to select pubs whose customers appreciate its natural nature and enhanced flavours. If you are lucky enough to find some you will be rewarded with a truly remarkable best bitter, and perhaps begin to understand that beer is often the better for having some opacity.

Cask at Bermondsey. Hazy orange-borwn with a nice head. Very herbal nose, resiny hops, light but piny. Flavor is again resiny hops, mint, Munich malt breadiness. Best of the session.

Handpump @Luppolo Station (Rome). Ambrata leggermente scarica, appena torbida, schiuma bianco-sporca media. Al naso note biscottate, erbacee, di tè, leggermente citriche. In bocca è maltata all'attacco con finale amaro e secco. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione soft. Molto buona.

Cask at Ale&Hop. Bit hazy orange with creamy beige head. Dry malts, quite bready, soft apricot, creamy dough, light orange peel, grassy. Under medium sweet and almost medium bitter. Medium bodied with nice creamy feel, almost flat. I don’t care a lot for English style beers but this is quite OK.
