Aus der Flasche (bbe 16.02.2031) im 2025-08 getrunken. Dieses violette Hollunder-Lambik kommt wie schon andere aus der "Oude à l'Ancienne"-Serie in einer wundervollen Harmonie zwischen Frucht, Säuregehalt und Körper daher. Hier macht sich ein deutliches Eichen-Aroma von der Fassreifung bemerkbar. Wieder ein wunderbares Frucht-Lambik!

0,75l bottle shared at home. Vintage 20/21. Deep red cloudy color, small white head. smells berry notes, jammy, funky, oak, earthy. Very nice smell. full body soft carbonation. tastes berry notes, jammy, earthy, funky, bit leathery, grassy, citric, salty. finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of berries, funk and citrus. Very nice one, lovely balance between funk and berry notes. Great balance.

Clear deep ruby red beer, no head. Aroma: lovely, pretty funky, fruity, dry, a bit spicy, black currants, woody, lovely! MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: oh yes, super fruity, lots of bitter berries, lambic, brett, nice stuff, tannins. Aftertaste: woody, a little bitter, berries, earthy, very dry, nice, acidic, very nice one, good berry flavour, love it!

Vintage 20-21. Hazy deep red, quickly thinning, off-white head. Aroma of elderberry, blueberry, berry skins, musty cellar, old blue grape, yoghurt, vague iodine, wet wood. Taste has very sour juicy blueberry, perfumey elderberry with a herbal effect, some funky vinegar, yoghurty lactic acid and musty cellar. Very tart, berry-like finish, nicely balancing bitter & dry berry skin, woody tannins and juicy, lactic elderberry. Medium body, moussy texture, average carbonation. Deeply fruity, woody, complex.
On the left, lots of funk! More funk than fruit. But settles down eventually to nice sweet funk.

Pours unclear, reddish amber. Small ring of white head. Scent is very funky, herbal - due to the elderberry - , oak, very brett forward. Taste is full, tart, brett, mild fruityness. It's more herbal than fruity to me - which is always the case so far for elderberry. Woody. Nice balance. Not bad at all.
