Bottle, 9 3%. Very fruity aroma, apples and vanilla, cinnamon. Clear deep red chestnut colour. Small fizzy head. The flavour is sweet with a quite bitter alcohol note. Tastes mostly of vanilla apart from the unpleasant alcohol notes. Mild apple notes. Would have been good with less alcohol, i think.

Bottle, 9C. Murky brown with less than a coat of beige head. Fake seeming aroma of vanilla, raisin, apple brandy, spices. Thinned. Sweet. Boozy with apples and dried fruit before some fruit cake spices and a drift off at the end. Not that flash.

Pretty dark copperish brown, bit of off-white head. Smell is massive apple and raisins, strudel indeed, sweet. Watery body, medium carbonation. Taste is sweet apple and raisin at first, but with a firm herbal bitterness coming through. Butter. Not great.

Bottle picked up from Dr Molen shop, Utrecht, consumed at Nick and Anna's Borrisdale, Isle of Harris, Scotland, Wednesday 28th September 2022. Pours murky dark brown colour with an off white head. Toffee, raisins and strudel type spices but missing a little bit of actual apple. Pleasant but too sweet.

Bottle from Daily Delis, Amsterdam. Hazy brown, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of raisin, candied plum, apple slices, green apple, caramel sauce, vanilla, apple cake, cinnamon, amaretto. Taste has sweet raisin, plum & red apple, bit sticky; caramelly & biscuity malt body with a milk-chocolatey edge and spicy cinnamon. Herbal hoppy finish, lingering dried fruits, caramel & apple cake, warming brandy & amaretto alcohol. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, average carbonation. Truly delivers, very satisfying.

4th June 2022 Hazy deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Enticing nose of sweet baked apples, soft cinnamon and pastry. Palate is light and fairly smooth, reasonable fine carbonation. Taste largely follows the nose but adds clear raisins and some lightly creamy toffee caramel malts. Light finish. A charming pastry quad. A simple idea that is very well executed. Tasty and never over sweet or cloying.
