Our Leipzig-Style Gose (Here Gose Nothin’®) is often seen being French-pressed through blueberries for a combination destined to be together, so we’ve done the hard work for you with this edition of our Gose by adding the blueberries at the brewery, which unites another layer of fruity complexity in this sour ale already known for its tart, citrusy, lime-like qualities, slight spicy note from added coriander and a noticeable mineral mouthfeel from added sea salt harvested from the shores of France. Cheers

Can. Pours a clear purplish red with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a earthy blueberry that is slightly tart with wheat and hay underlying. Flavor has blueberry that grows in tartness, wheat and a bit of salt in the finish.

Fairly clear ruby, amber, pink and almost pure red coloured body with no head at all and not much movement - just a crazy glow of colours at the bottom - nice. Aroma of super pungently acidic, soured, tart and funky blueberries, yeast, bread, light alcohol, sour funk and some pure raspberries all noticeable - very strong and incredibly nice. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong blueberry flavour at first that almost shows some muffins, coupled with a nice pungent grain and alcohol finish, but the funky berry and malt flavours remain with a big yeast note and ending with a sweet, but very soured finish - nice throughout. Aftertaste shows more fruits and funky hops than anything else that echo that completely on the end with not much malt character and/or complexities with more of a tart and funky blueberry and fruity bite near the end without any pungency or malt flavour - just light sweetness and fruits that take away from the larger flavours right behind. Overall, a nice beer to try and if you can find it - worth carting home if it isn't local! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Milk & Hops in New York, New York on 02-December-2018 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 19-March-2018.

Sampled on draft at Dad's Pub this beer poured a reddish caramel color with a medium sized foamy pinkish head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The stomach was tart, sour and almost vinegary with a vague berry note. The flavor was astringent with blueberry, yeast and vinegar. Very long finish. Light to medium body. Ok

Can. A- Coriander, slightly tart. A- Pink color, clear liquid, pink head. T- Coriander, tart, salty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sour finish. O- Strong coriander. In fact, that seems like a stupid addition. It overpowers everything. It's more like a sour wit than a gose. Lots of salt and tartness too but the coriander overpowers everything. Hardly taste any blueberry either. Really, it seems like the blueberry only added to the color of the beer and not a thing else. Not really impressed here but not a bad beer by any means.

Can. Pours a rosy orange with very little head and a few bubbles meandering toward the surface every now and again. Aromas of tartness and sour, but difficult to identify anything specific. Flavor is a nice mix of sour and salt with a touch of a berry edge to it, especially on the very late finish where it definitely seems a bit like a not-quite-ripe blueberry. Very lovely.

12oz can. Purple-pink body. Not much of a head. Pretty much in line with other Destihl Wild Sour beer. Tart sour nuances, but also kind of an odd undesirable earthy tone..perhaps the coriander, but seems more like an off aroma. Really not that enjoyable of an offering, the blueberry comes off artificial.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/18/2017. Pours slightly hazy pinkish orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour/tangy blueberry, blackberry, berry skin, lemon, lime, green apple, pear, red grape, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, salt/spice, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour/tangy blueberry, blackberry, berry skin, lemon, lime, green apple, pear, red grape, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruit/lactic tartness; light yeast spiciness and fruit tang on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blueberry, blackberry, lemon, lime, green apple, pear, red grape, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, salt/spice, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering sourness after the finish. Moderate dryness from acidity and carbonation, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/acidic, and lightly tannic/saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a great fruited gose style! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, salt/spice, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the balanced lactic/acidic/drying finish. Perfect balance between the fruit and classic Gose style flavors; with nice malt presence to balance the acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Not a bad beer, just a lot closer to a Berliner than a gose, lacking both noticeable blueberry notes or a solid salty finish. Hits the tartness, though, acidic and citric with a modest haystack undertone. As a straight Berliner, not bad. As a blueberry gose, kinda underwhelming.
