‘brunch.’ – (you read that correctly, both lowercase and punctuated) is a Canadian take on a more traditional style: the framboise sour. Undeniably raspberry, but with a competing glow of Brettanomyces funk consistent with our blends. It is worth noting how the baseline acidity that is a product of microbial activity, conspires with the acids naturally present in the raspberries, to further increase the total acidity of the blend while maintaining a less aggressive and more balanced overall profile. In addition to the heavy raspberry charge, is a mostly silent, yet substantial fruit contribution of peach added not for its impact to the flavour profile, but for its contribution to the overall mouthfeel. At 7.6% ABV, this blend is a fermentation with no indication on the palate of the percentage contained within. Allow to warm slightly to enjoy all of the nuance and complexity. Enjoy!

HOPS: A Minuscule Addition of German Hallertau

MALTS: Pilsner, Wheat, Oats
YEAST: A Melange of Several Different House Primary Strains, Several Select Brettanomyces Strains, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus brevis, Additional House Cultures, Saccharomyces bayanus for bottle conditioning

Raspberry and lots of grapefruit bretta. Ruby clear pour with ok head. Pretty tart finish. Maybe the best I had on tap here at brewery.

Can shared at Brewver Belgian Winter Gathering. Unclear orangy color, small off-white head. Aroma and flavor are fruit sourish, sourness. Solid beer imo but one has to able to endure the sourness, so not for everyone I guess. Liked it though. 8-8-8-8-8

1/III/25 - 1Pt. can @ Belgian Beer Geek Gathering (2025 Winter/Spring edition), BB: 31/XII/42 (2025-204) Thanks to nathanvc for sharing the can!

Slightly cloudy orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, fruity, berries, funky, a bit weird, a little dirty and infected. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sourish, strawberry, acidic, lemony, some tannins. Aftertaste: bitter, very acidic, vinegar, meh, don’t like it very much, but it’s overall a decent beer I guess.

473ml can purchased from Rad Beer as part of a delivery. Drunk at home. Light red; Cherry are colour. Translucent, no head. Tart, funky raspberry in the aroma. Little if any of the mango but still very nice. Out of this world taste: intense tart raspberry, a little bit of tropical fruit. Finishes clean and sour. Light body with medium to heavy carbonation. Refreshing and incredibly delicious.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear, matte red with a fizzy, fading pink crown. Light sweet flavour with sturdy acidity, some tart raspberry, lemony bite, low funk, a little seedy bitterness, tooth-cleaning salty notes. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Further strong tart raspberry to finish, bracing acidity, lemon, a little woody dryness. It’s a nice, toothy fruited sour.

A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with Brett, ground cherry, light lactic notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice tart mix of ground cherry, light lactic notes, light Brett, light horse blanket, very nice. Bottle from brewery, 3 years old.

Amber colour with a slight haze. Soft malt, but quickly this turns to be quite tart. Peachy fruit before a bracing finish.

Bottle sample at Farmhouse Fest 2022, pours a hazy amber orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out loads of brett funk, tart raspberries, and oak. Flavour is full of tart raspberries, oak, and some bugs. Pleasant enough but nothing special.
