Draught at KØ19. Vanilla aroma. Black colour. The flavour is roasted with a great raspberry note. The beer I dreamt of my whole ratebeer life. 10510520

Bottle. 6.3.2019. Roast-centered. Heavy rich sipper full of all kinds of dark malt flavours - coffee, cocoa, chocolate, deep roast. Blending very nicely with a moderate raspberry flavour, bringing with itself a semblance of light sweetness. This is mostly bitter and dark to be sure. Very tasty, rich, complex, very good. Accidentally rated 0,5 originally. Correcting the points now. Shared at BBT 31/01/2022.

0,33l bottle at home shared with Powy. black color, small coffee colored head. smells earthy, raspberries, licorice, musty, bit doughy. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of raspberries, earthy, peppery, oxidation, bit leathery, citrus, light ginger. finishes rather dry and medium bitter with notes of raspberries, citrus and some dough notes. rather nice one, nice raspberry notes, not the most balanced with some weird side notes, but overall good stuff. 8, 4, 8, 3, 16

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! Smooth mild woody beginning. The raspberries are fruity, woody back with a sticky and intense body. Nice but sticky.

33cl bottle from my Secret Santa VDuquerroux, thanks! A black beer with a mid-sized to small most good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, bitter chocolate, some raspberries. Taste of mild raspberries, dark roasted malt, burned malt, toffee, coffee, some lactose, strong body, quite nice!

Small beige head over virtually black beer. Intense nose with fruit, chocolate and horse (sic). After some time, raspberryfragrance becomes obvious. Roastedand sweetish aromas. Sweet & bitter chocolate pralines with cherry (and raspberry) ganache filling. Point of coffee. Bitter almonds remain hidden to me. Faint fruity acidity. Well bodied, without becoming thick or cloying. Good, if visually imperceptible carbonation, slick to viscous. Very good one. Excellent combination of the fruit and the roast from the stout.

Bottle opened with very high expectations, reviewing the last 2 ratings and having sat on these bottles for months now. Shared with Aminatchime. Pours black, bit light comes trough. Small , bit darker head. Smell is weird, fruityness really collides with the roastyness. taste is rather intense. Raspberrys set of the taste. Cherries are very much in the back. the fruityness is very nice, gives some sweetness, but remains balanced. Maltyness is more to the background. easy drinker, like a 8-ish ABV beer. Not nearly thick enough for the style or the ABV. I wouldn’t agree calling this an Impial stout. This is a fruitbeer, with black malts. Kinda sad it isn’t the huge thick stout I hoped for, but it’s a nice beer nevertheless.
