This beer is a take on our iconic imperial stout, Idjit. Aged for eleven months on Angermannian Box Destilleri AB barrels to heighten the flavor and give it that extra kick. Perfect barreled harmony!

After a tasting that blew him away, brew master Mikael Dugge Engström was over the moon with Box Destilleri AB Whiskey. Ola his son, paraphrased him saying, it was the shizzle. Since barrel aging beer is a thing, and since Whiskey is matured in barrels we thought we needed to get our hands on some Box Destilleri AB barrels. Said and done. Ola made the call. We bought the barrels. And, what better beer to put in them than our iconic Imperial Stout Idjit. 11 months later, we evacuated the barrels and what came out was not only the shizzle but heavenly shizzle. You get the idea. It's good.

Bottled. Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roast, some peat, mild toffee and some lactise with some coffee too. Flavour is wooden, coffeeish, mild caramel, some chocolate, a bit alcohol and some slight toffeeish tones. Slow sipper, but oh so nice.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, dark bread, coffee, liquorice, toffee, whisky and mild hints of peat. Malty, roasted taste with crisp-bread, milky chocolate, toffee, liquorice, whisky, wood and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Really tasty and quite harmonious. Distinct, but well balanced, whisky touch. Great beer!

Aroma has licorice, smoke and some chocolate cake. Flavour has licorice, alcohol, some soy sauce and smoke. Also spices. Nice, although the alcohol and soy sauce are too evident.
