Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Lightly hazy, copper colour. Thin, tight, lasting, sticky, tan head. Dried fruit. Fresh, ripe plum. Light caramel. Light toffee. Some milky chocolate. Fruity, zesty orange on the back end. Taste is light sweet. Woody dry. Soft, lightly chewy, creamy palate. Finish gets spicy, dry, and now is when any honey becomes evident. Light bitter close. Very nice.

75 cl bottle from eurospar, valby. clear amber brown, smooth fluffy light brown head. aroma is nutty, bitter euro hoppy, bitter malty but not very strong.notes of honey. flavor is honey, syruppy notes, faint flowery and fruity notes, alc. bite, caramel. I somehow fail to get excited by this one, reminds me of the cheaper end of danish micro breweries and their attempts at making something alc. strong, but failing reg flavor and "solid" ness.

750 ml bottle. Pours a dark clear mahogany with moderate head and lots of carbonation. Aromas of brown sugar, raisins, roasted malts, and metal. Flavors are same with additional hints of spice and honey. Lots of carbonation and a bit hot. A good Belgian reproduction.

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bod. Has a slightly hazy dark reddish brown colour with a medium, beige head. Aroma of dried fruit, cola, chocolate and is a little sweet. More dried fruit in a sweet flavour along with wood, leather and hints of smoke. Has a slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A rich and sweet Belgian strong ale with a nice balance.
