Svartekunst - Black Magic - is a Porter Stout we brewed initially in summer 2011, to celebrate our Batch Number 100. Each year sees a new vintage, and the detailed recipe is adjusted each time, so that later tasting sessions can make some really interesting comparisons. As the label suggests, this is a highly potent and powerful beer. The bitterness, however, will fade in the cellar, and the vinous tones will amplify. Coffee, burnt notes, smoke and leather are the dominant flavours. Residual sweetness is heavy, while the hops are dry with a bitter finish. We believe this stout can improve for 20 years, hence the legend "Best After" rather than "Best Before".

Vom Fass im Stone Brewing Berlin 2018-08 getrunken. Dieses kräftige Stout mit der langen Abkürzung "Foreign Extra Double Imperial Russian Export Stout Porter" gibt klar an was hier im Glas abgeht. Das Ganze ist dazu auch noch sehr ausgewogen und nehmen den klassischen Schoko-/Mokka-Aromem gesellt sich eine dunkle Beerenfrucht.

Bottle from Hans. Many thanks! Black colour, dark brown foam. Notes of plums, caramel, roasted malts, coffee, some ash. Nice stout.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, molasses, plums, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with loads of dark fruits, plums, licorice, light peated notes, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. Mondial 2018.

Botella 75 cl en el lupulo 12..03..2017. Lote 590 hasta 02..07..2014. (r124). Color negro intenso brillante con espuma beige oscuro. Sabores maltas tostadas con toques torrefactos algo quemados y ligeros cacaos, algo de café y achicorias, especiadas vainillas. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo líquido pero con bastante sabor. Bastante buena Para repetir duda.

250ml bottle, from trade with Gunnar. Many thanks! Pours pitch black, roasted malts, deep cocoa aroma. Taste is slick with big boozy liquorice, coffee, grainy cocoa, layered dark malts. Complex and delicious.
