wine barrels and Infused with fair-trade, organic coffee from local roaster Jobella. Rich bourbon and coffee aromas greet the senses. Complex chocolate and tobacco flavors fill the palate. This beer displays a full-bodied mouth-feel
and an overall balanced presentation. It would be a perfect pairing to rich chocolate desserts.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, smooth milk chocolate with nice alcohol. In mouth, a sweet chocolate with grassy resinous hops, molasses, licorice, loads if alcohol, apperitif like.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Argonaut Denver. I’ve been looking forward to trying this for quite a while. Pours a midnight black appearance with a dark brown head. Rich chocolate, caramel, a fit fruity (grape/plum), big coffee aroma. Thick dark chocolate bar, roasty and fresh coffee, big vanilla, a bit boozy whiskey, moderately fruity flavor with a somewhat boozy finish. Tastes excellent but it is a bit strong on the finish.

Bottled@Chriso "Donkey Dork Lord" pre-gbbf shindig 2011. I think this rating might take the price for me in hard encryption on my rating. More or less pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head that vanishes quickly. Aroma is roast, alcohol, coffee and liquorice. Flavour is coffee and roast. Big and beautiful imperial stout. 1st January 2010
Opaque black beer, dark brown edges. Semi dry softish palate. Starts with spicy licorice, then a little creamy malt. A light light touch of vanilla and very subtle red fruits - well buried. Complex beer embedded in a soft palate. Finishes semi dry and with fruity aniseed alcohol. Very drinkable and a little different.

Bottle. Pours almost black with nearly no head. Aroma is dominated by chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is of chocolate, caramel, roasted malts, and almost a minty note. Very crisp, almost winelike in mouthfeel.

Bottle at Chriso’s Easter tasting 2012. It pours very deep ruby, with a thick tan head. The nose is chocolate, caramel, vanilla ice-cream and toasted coconut. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, coffee, toffee, chocolate, dark fruit, vanilla and toast, with a dry-roasted finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. Not particularly complex. An enjoyable Imperial Stout nonetheless.

Sampled at EBF on Saturday Afternoon. Poured a solid black color with a moderate tan head. Smells of coffee mostly, but I think there’s a stout under there as well. Taste is again heavy on the coffee but complimented by the usual suspects of caramel and chocolate. Thick body with a light carbonation level and a roasty almost chalky mouthfeel. Nice coffee with a side of stout.

Pour is black with a small tan head. Aroma is chocolate, oak with a nice roast. Flavor is heavy on the chocolate with some coffee and slight vanilla. Alcohol is there in the end but nothing too hot. This was a very solid and rich beer.
