33 cl bottle from bierzwerg.de. Deep amber/red, clear appearance with medium, foamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma is nutty, caramel, citrusy/resiny hops, honey, malt and some fruit. Taste is malty with medium bitterness and nice dryness. Lots of biscuit notes. Medium bodied with lingering finish and nice carbonation. Well made, something like a complex amber ale.

660 mL bottle, best by 29-06-11. Pours a lightly hazed amber with an off-white head. Aroma leads with lots of sweet honey against light aromas of biscuit. Flavor is similarly honey-dominated, caramel, a little dark fruit and lemon, and a toasted biscuit malt base. Not bad.

(Bottle, Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 5 March 2011) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of caramel, honey, dried fruit and flowers. Fruity, malty taste with caramel, flowers, heather and honey. More than medium body, quite sweet, with fairly low bitterness. Different and quite interesting beer, tasty and nice.

Bottle, 10C. Amber with a creamy light beige head. Aroma of honey, spiced caramel, heather, a little citrus. Taste is first spicy and floral, giving way to honey and caramel sweetness, then firm citrus bitterness mingled with white and black pepper and other spices. Maybe I’ve been suggested into thinking I can taste the poppy seeds at the end. A heather ale that’s highly hopped doesn’t sound very appealing but this worked rather well - although you’d want to like pepper.

Bottle from Cracked Kettle cons 2011-01-28 Göteborg (Sweden lost against France in Handboll :-( ) AR: foral hoppiness, fruity - apricots, strawberries AP: reddish amber - 5 cm high thick frothy steady head apricot cream in colour, great apperance 5 out 5! F: great bitterness, grapefruit, herbs, honey, apricots, spicy - green pepper

Bottle. Great vegtable beer! In one way (the pumpkin and cinnamon notes) this beer reminds me of a halloween beer. In another way (the complex malt bitterness) it reminds me of a double bock. The honey smoothens it out. Very interesting!

Key Food, Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn NY NY 660ml ($5): Pours a pretty nice brownish color with a rather nice brownish head. Aroma of hops, coffee, and a bunch of different fruits. This is like four or five beers poured together and there isn’t a really great balance between them. Got the coffee from the kola nut or something like that. Fruitiness and honey flavors as well. An interesting beer insofar as it has a whole lot of different flavors.
