330ml bottle. Pours a deep ruby brown with a small head. Aroma is spicy hops, some pepper and wood. Complex. Lots of spice. Then some berries. Very bitter, sharp hop finish. Lots of carbonation. Spicy on the aftetaste, definitely a sipper.

Bottle @ the Treasure Coast beer fest. Pours hazy amber color with off white head. Lots of spices in the aroma. Lightly fruity and sweet with some spices and bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation.

A hazed reddish amber ale with a thin big bubbled off white head. In aroma, nice sweet big malts, wild herbs and loads of fruity esters. In mouth, an intense explosion of bitterness, like chinotto, lingering and herbal, with good sweet malt, dark fruits, interesting. Shared with Probstk, August 2010. Thanks Karl.

Nice muddied red coloured body with a brown highlight and a good thick tan head that fades very fast. Aroma of strong malt, coffee, pit fruits (big time), cola and a touch of molasses and sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive malt and spices up front with a lot of pit fruits, some mild hops and a good amount of sweetness to balance. Aftertaste shows a lot of spices, some sweetness and a very thick, viscous maltiness that lasts and lasts. Overall, a nice beer - showing well on all fronts, and perhaps a bit strong, but this is the crazies in Scotland for you - so it’s expected. I sampled this pint on draught from Againn in Washington, DC on 22-July-2010.

Bottle. Pours a reddish copper with a medium sized head and aromas of caramel malt, lightly herbal hops and some sweet fruit stuff that I can’t quite put a finger on. Flavor is a very interesting mix of sweet fruit and bitter herbal hops that comes together wonderfully. Usually I find BrewDog stuff to be a bit uninteresting, but this really captured my palate. Very nice stuff.

Mossy lemon grass and tea aroma, with peach undertones. Hazy copper, headless.Overripe peach and bready malt. Quite nutty, from brazil to pecan. Some peat present, but only traces. Lemon zest bite. Alcohol well concealed. Much hoppier than I was expecting as I thought this was a scottish ale. Elements of an EPA and an EBA, call it the best of Britain. Good complexity, and unique. Versatile for food pairing. Wicked neat.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear copper golden with a small frothy white head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet fruit malt with honey. Thin mouthfeel wtih a dry hop with honey and light roast. Hides the alcohol well, a good brew from Dogma.

Sampled from glass at Glunz Beer Expo, 4/5. I did not know about all these different spices at the time I dictated tasting notes into my phone’s voice recorder. Looks like a Belgian type strong ale in the glass, a little cloudy. Very little foam after the pour, but still some lace. Light brown with a very thin line of foam. They didn’t have this listed in the program (it’s a last-minute substitute for a delayed shipment of Tokyo) so I don’t know its strength. Smell is light malts with a little bit of spice and fruit to it. After the first sip, I learn about the honey and California poppy. I do get the honey. I wouldn’t say the spiciness is like a poppy seed bun, more like a little rye crisp. Very thin mouthfeel, low carbonation. Show some signs of having been aged.
