Gorgeous brew. Salty and citrusy, lightly dank, some lemony notes, subtle acidity, refreshing salinity, just enough sweetness, restrained funk. Balanced finish, a bit more salty and subtle dank bite, citric tang. Excellent.

750mL bottled 1/31/2020, drunk 10/6/2023. Clear, bronze-brass, very large, well-retained, white head. Nose is a shot of mellowed lactic acidity with big brett impressions and rustic grains below. Bit of mineral and easygoing, mild tropical fruits from the hops. Clean, snappy, highly aromatic. Soft, with excellent malt depth, chewy, nutty wheat-like notes, nice and dry with tart brett and mild lactic acidity. Soft oak contributes to flavor as hops yield light mineral and gentle tropical fruits. Just an all-around clean, snappy, flavorful, easy-drinking beer. I don't get a huge notion of what Southern Cross is all about, but that's ok because the other elements of the beer fill in.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light funky ester with some floral notes and dry Brett notes. Taste is also amix of hoppy dry floral undertones with some funky ester and dry Brett notes with light oak. Body is about average with good carbonation. Solid hopped saison with non-typical hops.

Bottle thanks to Mike. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is oak, citrus, floral, brett. Slick body, funky, citrus, oak, brett, lingering dry finish, very good.
